In a Nutshell
Serious collectors shouldn't forget about the albums

Introduction:
Billboard [Magazine] March 30, 1946: “The Vogue disks are unlike anything currently peddled on the market, in that they are made of a coating of transparent vinylite, under which is a heat resistant paper disk, on which is printed a picture, illustrating the story of the title and lyrics of the song.” Vogue Records were produced for only 11 months from May 6, 1946 on, by Sav-Way Industries of Detroit, Michigan, as the brainchild of inventor and entrepreneur Tom Saffady. Vogue records feature dance bands of the time, with bandleaders Clyde McCoy, Art Kassel, Art Mooney, Shep Fields, Frankie Masters, Sonny Dunham, Enric Madriguera, Dick LaSalle and others. Today's collectors have the choice between 74 double-sided 10" 78 rpm records, of which the first one R 707 (Sugar Blues / Basin Street Blues) is also the most common one. At any given time there are about 40 R 707 for sale on eBay, with prices between $5-50. There are several free price guides available on the internet (ref.s 1-3). The 2 albums for sale here should be in any Vogue fan's collection. In a separate auction I offer 12 more records (ref.4) as well as the holy grail R715 (ref.5).

About my albums:

The four records are in excellent condition, the sleeve of V-101 is in less good shape, with some fading and scribbling. All 8 sides play fine without skips, repeats or annoying periodic crackles, with only moderate sizzling background. This sizzling is caused by dust particles inside the grooves and can be reduced by cleaning the record and optimizing the tip size of the gramophone needle. Watch a youtube video by clicking on thumbnail 24 or going to ref.6. Please e-mail me (Kris) for any questions or make me an offer; ich spreche Deutsch, je parle Français.
I plan to list all records also on eBay in 3 auctions:
A) R715
B) Bid on one of your choice out of 12
C) Chose one album, V100 or V101
